We are the premier mixed martial arts school here in the Northwest, offering the following arts: - Muay Thai kickboxing (we are the WA representative of the Thai Boxing Association) - Savate (French kickboxing) - STX (Savate-Thai-Xtraining) - CSW/MMA (Combat Submission Wrestling which combines grappling arts such as Brazilian jiu-jitsu, shooto, catch-as-catch-can, sambo, wrestling, Greco-Roman, and judo) - JKD/Jun Fan (the art of Bruce Lee, under the direct lineage of Dan Inosanto) - Kali/Pangamut/Panantukan/Silat (Filipino and Indonesian arts specializing in stick and blade arts, as well as empty hand) Our classes offer a great workout without the "meat head" mentality and no "weirdness" associated with some martial art classes -- great for beginners, as well as the most advanced martial artist or professional fighter. Fighting Chance Seattle offers self-defense and kickboxing programs. Our self-defense for women program is available via group workshop, one-on-one lessons or as a corporate event. This program aims to educate and empower. Participants will learn self-defense strategy and practice proper body mechanics while striking padded targets. Our custom program relies on simple, effective techniques with no gimmicks and no nonsense. We also have a completely different self-defense program available for men. Our Kickboxing 101 program focuses on the fundamentals of kickboxing in dynamic, engaging group classes or one-on-one training. This program has four objectives, as follows: 1. Energetic, full-body workout 2. Stress relief and outlet for aggression 3. Cultivate mindfulness, concentration and self-discipline 4. Sensei Jordan Giarratano, the owner and instructor of Fighting Chance Seattle, is a martial arts expert with 19 years of training in a range of fighting styles, including Tang Soo Do karate, Muay Thai kickboxing, boxing, street self-defense, and grappling. He was granted permission to open his own school under the Fighting Chance name by his instructor in October 2011.

We offer exceptional program in martial arts, fitness kickboxing, and self-defense programs. - Martial Arts Program - In our martial arts classes you will find a mixed-martial arts curriculum of skills. Our main focus is on modified mixed-martial arts (controlled contact sparring which involves kicking, punching, throws, grappling, and submissions) and self-defense training. In our curriculum we combine all of these elements together to give the student a skill set in each range of combat and in the different format of sport versus self-defense. Our goal is develop good competitors for those who want to compete and good self-defense concepts for those who want to have a basic ability to defend themselves.     I am 31 years old and have battle a rare form of cancer for over 2 years called acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). I have undergone chemo cycles at least 4 times in the past 2 years and eventually developed tumors who took over majority of my digestive tract. On Feb 25th of this year I underwent laparoscopic subtotal gastrectomy surgery to remove a 10lb tumor and a large portion of my stomach. I survived the surgery and am now in remission and feeling my best. I am grateful to be alive, and now that I have beat cancer I would like to live even longer and look my best!!
