We do not follow a single design style, we feel that it is more important to have style and to create the environment that enhances the clients lifestyle or work environment, then to be obligated to just one style. I am working with Didi, owner of Alleyworks, to help me develop a master plan for renovating my home, focusing currently on a color palette and specific design elements for master suite. She listens intently to identify my tastes and chose beautiful colors for painting my interior living spaces. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I present my pricing menu at the time that we first meet. $115 hour first consultation. $85-$115 for design work and sourcing. I may offer a discount depending upon location and job scope of project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I interview the client in their home or the location that the work is to be done. Assess what the lifestyle is or what work the client wishes to accomplish in the space. I ask the residential client to identify some style ideas and with the business client I discuss style and functionality. I then prepare a contract tailored to the job and include a retainer fee. Upon agreement I begin work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied interior design and architecture at Academy of Art in San Francisco and interned and worked for an Architectural firm for 5 years. In order to remain current and to have fresh ideas I take a lot of continuing education classes in design, current code requirements and research new products.
