FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I provide FREE 1-2 hour in home consultation to define scope of work and design services needed. Interior Design consultation is bill at $50 per hour. Flooring and finish material pricing varies - what controls pricing is materials selected, installation method required, project site conditions and sundries needed glues, underlayments, grouts, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to take a collective approach when working with my clients and find a great joy in making the best use of their budgets to create a design that is completely personal in style and function. My 10-step process 1. We meet at your project location to discuss project scope of work and I take a field measure (site measure). 2. At this time I can provide a "budget" estimate with material "allowances". This is not an accurate bid because ultimately your materials selection has a big impact on project cost, but it can be a useful starting point to determine what your budget is and what type of materials we should be looking at. 3. The customer and I meet to make a material selection. 4. I price out materials and installation in an estimate. 5. Customers agrees (or we re-select). I collect project deposit - typical 50% 6. Materials are ordered 7. I talk scheduling - this timelines varies on project scope of work, material and labor availability. 8. Work is completed any punch list items are taken care of. 9. Remaining invoice due 10. I have a HAPPY customer!
