FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
This pricing applies to private, one-on-one training sessions only. All new private clients begin with a 90-minute intake consultation ($150). This includes a full assessment of your puppy, a personalized training plan, and one follow-up session to help you implement what we cover. After that, private training sessions are $75 per hour. The number of sessions varies based on your goals and your puppy’s needs, and I’ll always give clear, honest recommendations—no pressure or surprises. I also offer discounted private training packages (25% off) for families who want ongoing support. 👉 Group puppy classes are priced separately and are a more budget-friendly option for families who want structured training, socialization, and professional guidance in a small-group setting.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a 90-minute intake consultation where I get to know you, your puppy, and your household. We’ll talk through what’s feeling hard right now, your goals, and what day-to-day life with your puppy looks like. From there, I create a personalized, step-by-step training plan tailored to your puppy’s development, your schedule, and your lifestyle—so it’s realistic and sustainable. Your intake also includes a complimentary follow-up session, where we fine-tune the plan, troubleshoot challenges, and help you build confidence and momentum right away. From there, we continue with private sessions as needed, or I may recommend group puppy classes if they’re a good fit for your goals and your puppy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I specialize in puppy development and force-free, science-based training that supports both dogs and their people. I’m a Fear Free Certified Professional and a Diamond Member of the Grisha Stewart Academy. I’m also an active member of the Pet Professional Guild (PPG) and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), and I’ve completed a professional mentorship through Pet Harmony. Beyond formal education, I’ve spent years supporting new puppy parents through hands-on training and in large online puppy communities, offering practical, compassionate guidance through common challenges like biting, potty training, crate struggles, and the emotional ups and downs of puppyhood. All of my methods are fear- and force-free, rooted in modern behavior science and relationship-building. I don’t just teach skills, I help families build trust, confidence, and a strong partnership that lasts well beyond puppyhood.
