Short summary:
Very professional & high quality work. 10/10 would hire again.

I needed to install a mini-split system with three indoor zones and my project was a bit complicated.

Over four months, I talked to ten different contractors (I kept notes), and Billy was the first who actually listened to what I wanted and came up with creative ways to make it work. I was looking to minimize the amount of drywall damage, and unlike others, he didn't insist on doing it only one way. I also was fairly concerned about smart home features, and he helped look into multiple satisfactory solutions.

Incidentally, his quote also gave the best value and he was very transparent with the numbers - something I didn't see often from the other contractors.

When it was time to do the work, he was very flexible about the timing and considerate of the days I was working from home.

The system's performance has been very impressive, and everything was put together at really high quality. Overall, an excellent job.

I had a great experience with Billy (owner) of Pacific Coast Comforts! My furnace suddenly went out during of the long New Year’s holiday weekend. I had a hard time finding someone to come out until I reached out to him via Thumbtack. Billy arrived the next morning and troubleshot the situation; getting us a partial repair quickly.

Ultimately given the furnace was at the end of its lifespan (almost 20 years old), he recommended replacing the entire unit. I took Billy’s advice, and he was back the NEXT MORNING! Within a couple hours we had heat again, with quieter and more efficient operation.

I am so glad to have found Billy and Pacific Coast Comforts. I will call on him again for maintenance and for my next project – upgrading/replacing my air conditioning unit. I could only choose 3 of the 5 like categories here, but I do want you to know that I was impressed with all options (work quality, professionalism, responsiveness, value, and punctuality).
