Unreliable Service, Unjustified Fees — Avoid at All Costs Context & Timeline In April 2025, I hired this company for a 2-part mold remediation in my bathroom: Part 1: Remove bathtub and tiles, and perform mold remediation — originally quoted at $7,000, to be submitted to insurance. Part 2: Reinstall bathtub and tiles. I requested they wait for insurance assessment and coordinate with the insurer, but they ignored this entirely. They sent contractors without having inusurance company to assess the claim. They failed to communicate with me, my tenant and the insurance company multiple times. The insurance claim was closed due to their lack of communication What Went Wrong Massive price hike: The original quote was 7k but the final bill for Part 1 reached $15,000, later reduced to $11,500 because we complained about their unprofessional communication. However, its still far above the original quote with no clear justification. Inflated quotes: For Part 2, they quoted $30,000 for putting back the bathtub and tiles for a small 50 sq ft bathroom. Another company completed the same job for $6,000. I could renovate the whole bathroom with 30k. Bottom Line This company showed unprofessional, unethical behavior throughout—disregarding client requests, failing insurance coordination, and massively overcharging. Their conduct eroded trust and caused unnecessary stress and expense. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.
