I am a recipient of Thumbtack's "Best of 2015" and "Best of 2016" awards. My first priority is to exceed your expectations. I want you to be more than just satisfied, I want you to be impressed! I offer flexibility. I don't count hours, I request a flat fee and then invest whatever time is necessary to ensure that your wedding ceremony meets or exceeds your expectations. My fee is flexible depending on the size and type of ceremony you want. Weddings are of supreme importance. They are also joyful celebrations of love and the life upon which you are embarking. Therefore, I attempt to inject some light levity in order to help everyone be as relaxed as possible. I provide the following services... > An initial face-to-face consultation in order for us to get to know each other. It helps you feel comfortable with me as your officiant and it helps me to add some personal touches to your ceremony. > All communication you need whether in person, by phone or email in order to ensure that you are comfortable with your ceremony. > Since clients do not make a regular habit of planning wedding ceremonies, I offer my service as your wedding ceremony consultant at no additional charge. > Participation in your wedding rehearsal. (If requested) > Officiating your ceremony. > I assume the responsibility of mailing your wedding license to the county auditor to be recorded. I LOVE hearing the stories of people who have fallen in love as well as the hopes and dreams that they plan to share together. Whether your wedding ceremony is a small intimate affair or a large celebration all weddings are joyful occasions and I find it a pleasure as well as an honor to participate.

Steve did a fantastic job officiating our wedding! We are so pleased with his work and so grateful that he was part of our big day. Steve did a fantastic job before our wedding offering us some examples of what we could have read during the ceremony, but had no problem with us adding or subtracting things to make it more specific to us. We wanted him to be part of the rehearsal as well, which was a great idea as he was definitely experienced and was able to keep our families and bridal party focused and on track to ensure the real ceremony went off without any problems. Steve is a wonderful person to work with. I was a little apprehensive meeting a pastor of a church, mostly because I'm not the most religious person in the world. That being said, it was very important for me to have someone of my faith officiate my wedding. My fiance, Steve and I spent a good 2 hours just talking like we were good friends the whole time. He made us both feel very comfortable with him and the way he does things, and I couldn't be more pleased to have him officiate my wedding in September 2015. :)

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have three basic price points. One price is for officiating just your wedding ceremony. the second price is in case I am needed to serve at both your ceremony and your rehearsal. The third price point is for smaller weddings - total attendance of 20 or less. I am always willing to exercise some flexibility if my client really wants me to officiate but are being challenged by the already high cost of weddings.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After you respond to my bid we arrange a face-to-face consultation preferably in person but a phone call is also an option. During this meeting we get to know each other and discuss your wishes and expectations for your wedding ceremony. If you decide to hire me as your Officiant we finalize the details about your ceremony.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an ordained minister with the Independent Christian Churches. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hope International University / Pacific Christian College in Biblical Theology and Education.
