Introduction: What I do for a living is my passion! I am very proud to be a full time professional coach and trainer. I have had success working with all types of individuals from multiple backgrounds, ages, body types, experience levels. I also believe that for people to truly accomplish their goals it requires a well rounded approach of mind, body and soul. What is there not to like about my job?? What I truly love the most about my job is the people that I get to spend my days with. I am been very blessed to meet and train with some truly exceptional people!

Cody Houston has been my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing coach at CageworX for the last two years. He has a lot of experience working with many different types of students who have very different body types, levels of fitness and goals. Hes both a skilled martial artist and an effective instructor, excellent at helping his students learn techniques and application. You dont just learn a bunch of forms/kata with Cody. Instead, you also do the amount of sparring/rolling thats right for you (especially since Im an older student) so you can actually learn how and when to use a technique or combination. Plus, hes just plain fun to work with. Hes funny and he really cares about his students. I highly recommend training with Cody!

Professor Houston is a fantastic coach. He's passionate about his sport, he's been at it for a long time and he has a lot to offer! His style of teaching is well rounded, specific and detailed. Give him your best, and he'll support you 100%! You'll learn a lot if you train with him.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly learning new techniques and am constantly trying to improve my education!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
After receiving 2 college degrees I had to figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I was selling insurance at the time and extremely dislike selling people something that I did not believe in. And all of the most successful people in the world have ONE thing in common and that is that they do what they love! So the answer was easy for me once I answered that question.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do NOT just go with the first martial arts instructor that you come across! This is a very important decision in your life so make sure that you do your research and choose what is best suited to your goals!
