Medical Massage is an outcome-based massage, primarily the application of specific treatments that are targeted to the specific problem(s) the patient presents with. Treatments are administered after a thorough assessment and evaluation by a medical massage therapist, with specific outcomes being the basis for treatment. It is also known as clinical massage or treatment massage. I primarily treat all patients face up, for greater comfort and ease. With patients in this position, I am able to treat both front and back of body at the same time. Medical Massage combines advanced soft-tissue techniques with patient-specific treatment plans. It is using the science and art of treating soft tissue via palpation and manipulation to treat, alleviate or prevent specific conditions (without diagnosing or prescribing).
