Specific help
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My process differs from others because it's entirely and completely customized. If a client needs writing, I can work with them not only to handle the writing, but to advise them on (or even manage) distribution, formatting, delivery, and so forth. For example, a regular copywriter might write a sales letter for you, but I provide "soup-to-nuts" service and help you plan and manage the entire direct mail campaign. My broader focus gives me a different perspective on the project than someone who focuses only on one small portion.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing, like many copywriters, is based on a percentage of the expected revenue that will be generated through my work. Because I don't sell pre-designed, one-size-fits-all "packages", every client receives a unique package designed to meet their individual needs. This allows me to customize my service for a wide range of budgets and purposes, while still providing all my clients with outstanding copy and more sales!

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

My background is in sales. I've worked with direct sales/network marketing in the health, wellness, and beauty niches. I've sold cars, and I've also sold insurance. I'm still a licensed insurance producer in Washington state. In my own efforts to market myself more effectively online and through direct mail campaigns, I found that as much as I loved consulting with customers, my true passion was producing written sales materials. Now, I'm still in sales, but I write the words that make people buy.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Pay attention to quality rather than price. A good copywriter will generally charge you a fee based on a percentage of what she expects you to earn from her work. If a $100 copywriter earns you $1,000 but a $1,000 copywriter earns you $10,000, which copywriter is better for your business?
