Introduction: I found the gym later than most people in the fitness industry. I spent most of my youth skateboarding or snowboarding and did not relate those who had a gym membership or played competitive sports. I decided to join a gym in college with one of my good friends and what was once just something to do with my buddy turned into something I was really passionate about. The aspect of making myself stronger day after day really motivated me and I found myself wanting more. My interests started in bodybuilding and while I was able to gain a lot of muscle quickly, I also ended up with nagging injuries. To get my pain under control I changed my focus to strength training, then power lifting and it seemed to me the more strength I acquired, the more it helped me deal with my pain. It eventually backfired and I started having issues again to the point that I could barely walk at the end of the day. I felt defeated. I tried seeing a conventional Physical Therapist, a Doctor, and a Chiropractor who all helped, but my pain still relapsed and I wasn’t able to do what I enjoyed in and outside of the gym. During my first year of personal training I heard about the Postural Restoration Institute from trainers and Physical Therapists that I looked up to. I ended up taking a course and it blew my mind! I was doing everything wrong! I did a few of their techniques and the relief was instant. Fast forward to today and I have taken the main concepts from the postural restoration institute and have applied it to my clients training as well as my own. Now, my passion has become helping others with finding a sustainable strategy for fitness. I help people learn how to move their body in order to allow proper bio mechanics and long term success.

Hands down Cory is the absolute best personal trainer I've had. He pushes you and pays close attention to your body to make sure you are doing the exercises the right way. He is also super attentive and knowledgeable and very easy to talk to.

I've been training with Cory for about a year and a half and I only have good things to say about his work: his professionalism, punctuality and training adaptation to my needs are excellent! Even when I'm in a new environment with few resources, he always manages to tailor sessions creatively. I love his methodology, always challenging me but at the same time respecting my limitations. As a result, my energy, stamina, and strength have increased considerably, and all thanks to Cory!

Cory is THE BEST TRAINER! We have been working out with him for years and he is great at strength training plus with injury recovery. He has a great understanding of anatomy so anytime I'm sore or in pain, Cory shows me exercises to work through it. The other great thing about Cory is that I have never had "bad" soreness when working out with him. He is great at helping me challenge myself without injuring me. He's also good with people who are aging - he has been helping my 83 year old mother for years. My mom is 100 lbs but because of Cory's training she can easily deadlift 85 lbs. I highly recommend Cory!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I start with a 25 min intro session over the phone or video call to go over goal and ensure that training together is a good fit. Then we get to work laying down the basics of how to control one's body in a purposful way that helps to keep joints aligned and muscles properly leveraged. Right away we will start to target specific goals to better your body and life.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I am a certified ACSM Exercise Physiologist. I have my level 1 and 2 Functional Movement Screen Certifications and I am a Bioforce certified Conditioning Coach. I have very extensive training from the Postural Restoration Institute.
