I recently had Mt Vista Electric swap out all my outlets and switches with updated equipment, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. During the initial visit, sales manager Cody was honest and upfront about the concerns he saw in my home’s electrical system. He’s smart, knowledgeable, and very approachable, listened carefully to my concerns and offered clear, practical suggestions on how to handle everything.
The team that came to do the work was on point. They were professional, efficient, and cleaned up as they went. Importantly, they discovered an outlet that had caught fire at some point in the past. A serious issue I had no idea about. I truly appreciate their thoroughness and attention to safety.
I have no complaints at all. I still have a lot of electrical work to do, and I’ll absolutely be calling Mt Vista Electric again when I’m ready. Highly recommend!

Thumbtack account needs to be updated as a service call is actually $250, not $89. Tony came out same day (because he had availability, not because we asked for it) to check on our issue with multiple outlets not working. It was just a problem of not pressing the GFI button on one of them (as they were all connected) that we didn't even notice. Our stupid mistake, but while he was here, he made sure to check out some of our outlets and our panel and provide a hefty estimate for upgrading us away from our current, absolutely okay backstabbed system. It's always nice to get someone's advice and there was no pressure to go with the unnecessary upgrade, which is nice, but there was some fear mongering about how easy it is for houses to burn down without it.
Overall, I can't really judge on the electrical work provided, but he seemed very knowledgeable. I just encourage everyone to know what to expect.

I was having electrical problems at my residence. Some lights were going off and some plugs were going dead. When I checked the breaker panel I couldn't find any breaker that had flipped. I found Mt. Vista Electric on Angie's List. Cody contacted me and came by for an assemeent. He told me that houses the age of mine were built using a type of electrical plug that isn't in use today and that among other things could be the problem. He said that his company had seen similar problems with other homes they had worked with in the area. After his assement he verified that the plugs in my house were the older style and those plugs were prone to many electrical problems. He gave me a quote to replace all of the plugs, switches and breakers. This would bring the electrical in my house up to current code.
During the course of the plug and switch replacement they found a plug that had shorted on the back melting the case. It was still live. They saved me from a potential electrical house fire.
My house was built in 1990. I live in Clark County Washingston. If you are in a home built around the time mine was built and in the same region, you might want to give Mt. Vista Electrical a call.

Cody and Elliott did an outstanding job installing my Tesla EV charger. From start to finish, they were professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough. They took the time to walk me through all my options, explained everything clearly, and made sure the setup was done exactly right.
Their workmanship was top-notch, the install was clean and precise, and they genuinely cared about doing it the right way, not just the fast way. It’s rare to find people who combine great technical skill with excellent communication, but these two nailed it.
Highly recommend
