FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Physical Products: When we quote physical products, our quotes are based on the specific details outlined in your request. Some variance may occur if the scope of the project is not clearly detailed in your request (this variance may lower or increase the balance). If there is an increase in the overall cost, we will NOT proceed on the project until we have had the opportunity to answer any questions AND obtain written approval. Our team at Cogent MG does not believe in hidden fees, and we make every attempt to disclose any costs before they are incurred. (Note: If we are able to obtain discounts on products, it is our policy to split the discount with our customer; i.e. a $3 reduction in cost due to sale results in a $1.80 discount to our customer). Services: While we make every effort to include all aspects of your request in our quote, it is common for projects to adjust and develop during the course of the execution. Some variance may occur if the scope of the project is not clearly detailed in your request, or if you request additional services beyond what is included in the initial quote (this variance may lower or increase the balance). If there is an increase in the overall cost, we will NOT proceed on the project until we have had the opportunity to answer any questions AND obtain written approval. Our team at Cogent MG does not believe in hidden fees, and we make every attempt to disclose any costs before they are incurred. (Note: We require 50% down on all projects to ensure that we can adjust final costs, specifically if they are LOWERED. If you are quoted 5 hours for a project, and the project required only 4 hours to complete, you will be billed for 4 hours TOTAL).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our team at Cogent MG recognizes that each customer is different and has specific ideas, requirements, and goals that are unique to the individual and/or their business. The first step on any project is to take the opportunity to discuss the scope of the project and identify key focal points, to ensure that priorities are emphasized and addressed. Following the initial meeting/discussion, a member of our team will send the customer a detailed estimate and contract which outline the notes from the initial discussion. The customer has the opportunity to amend, adjust, or decline the estimate. When the estimate and contract are accepted, and the required deposit paid, work on the project begins. Depending on the scope of the project, follow up may be daily, weekly, or as phases complete. For longer term projects, specifically web design & development, or e-commerce, a copy of the project is uploaded to a testing server for client review, at multiple points during the week.
