FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a free 15-minute introductory chat to determine whether we’re a good fit to work together and to identify your goals. This short call is meant for alignment — not for legal advice — and helps ensure I’m the right attorney for your matter. Regular consultations are $250 for up to one hour. During that time, we’ll discuss the relevant laws to your issue or elements of your project, your options, and the strategy best suited to your goals. Ongoing work is billed at $500/hour, which is competitive within Washington’s business law market. Flat-fee pricing is also available for projects with a clear beginning and end or for clients who prefer cost certainty within a defined budget. This structure works best for those who want clarity up front and value efficiency as much as quality. At Sound Impact Law, we work with business owners who don’t cut corners. If you’re ready to treat your legal strategy as a core part of your business — not an afterthought — let’s talk. If you’re looking for quick answers or free advice, we will not be the right fit.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with either a free 15-minute introductory chat or a full consultation, depending on where you are in your process. This initial conversation allows both of us to assess fit, clarify your goals, and ensure our values and expectations align. If we’re a match, we enter into a representation agreement that outlines the scope of work, timelines, and billing structure — whether hourly or flat-fee, depending on your project’s nature. Once engagement begins, we move forward strategically and in alignment with your priorities. You’ll stay informed and involved as we work toward your objectives, with clear communication and accountability at every stage. At Sound Impact Law, we don’t just take on cases — we build partnerships. We work best with clients who are ready to invest in their success and treat their legal strategy as a serious part of doing business.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to earning a law degree and being licensed to practice in Washington, Sound Impact Law’s principal attorney combines formal legal training with real-world entrepreneurial experience, providing practical insight into the challenges and opportunities business owners face. Attorney Dallas Aguilera Martinez completed the General Counsel University program through UC Berkeley School of Law, an advanced executive education program focused on corporate governance, risk management, and strategic advising. Our principal attorney has also completed two mediation certification programs to enhance their dispute resolution skills. Continuing education is a core value at Sound Impact Law. The firm engages in ongoing CLE learning year-round to stay informed on the latest developments, trends, and regulatory changes impacting Washington businesses.
