Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I teach and tutor students looking to further their academic careers by helping them develop the skills they need to excel on standardized tests. SAT, GRE, GMAT, and LSAT: I've aced them all, helped dozens of students do the same, and would love to add you to my list of success stories. My method focuses on using cognitive science to help you learn as efficiently and deeply as possible. Pair that with an emphasis on developing durable and transferable skills that will help you after the test, sprinkle in insights about how to use the structure of the exam to maximize your score, and add proven motivation strategies, and you've got my recipe for success.

Aaron is a gifted teacher, and a brilliant mind to boot. He excels at reducing utterly convoluted topics (in math, science, logic...) to utterly simple steps that anyone can follow. Aaron is my go-to person for lucidly explaining anything I can't understand.

I would give Aaron many more stars if I could! He was SO helpful getting me stay motivated for the GRE, which was difficult since I hate standardized testing with a passion. With his tutoring magic, I learned a ton and got a much higher score than I had attained studying by myself. Aaron is not judgmental at all no matter what level you are at and I actually looked forward to our study sessions. His prices are more than reasonable considering his preparation and teaching abilities. I would recommend him to anyone looking to improve their test scores! Thank you, Aaron!

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I usually take my clients on a start-to-finish journey as they prepare for an exam. We'll meet at a coffee shop for a free consultation, work through a few problems, and lay out a course of study that fits them. If we're a good fit, I'll also introduce the tools that we'll be using to help them build skills and retain information. We'll continue to meet weekly, and check in once or twice over text or email between sessions. Each session includes a review of completed work and difficult problems, the introduction of a few new skills, and developing a plan for the next week.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Meet with your tutor for a short session before committing to anything. Tutoring is very much a "fit" thing, and you want to be sure that you are hiring someone that you get along with and trust. In that first meeting, be sure to do something academic- don't just talk about plans or favorite sports things. Do those things too- you want to understand the vision, experience, and allegiances your tutor holds- but kick the tires and so something academic.
