I've been visiting RL's studio for the past several months. The guy really knows his stuff: theory, strengthening exercises, guitar styles, you name it. I appreciate his encouragement and laid-back approach. My confidence and technique has improved tremendously under his tutelage.Feb 27, 2015Verified
RL is a phenomenal instructor. Besides his ability to shred, he is a master in music theory and can convey his knowledge in a very understandable way. He is well versed in all the genres, from jazz to rock and everything in between. He has had a huge impact on my playing. My lessons with RL are the most rewarding part of my week. Go Seahawks!Jan 29, 2014Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I typically charge $40 per half hour lesson, $75 for each hour.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I started teaching guitar lessons in high school when my art teacher's son wanted to take lessons from me.
- What types of customers have you worked with? When I teach beginners (depending on their age) I will focus on giving them some goals that can easily be attained to build confidence and make music fun. Simultaneously, they will be given some basic rudiments and techniques to start a solid foundation. For more advanced students, I will generally focus on broader concepts such as theory and extended techniques. My space is also equipped to record directly to ProTools. Often a student will want to record music at some point and I can get them moving in the right direction, even fully producing and recording an album with them if the need arises.
