About
Burlingame Builders provides a wide range of services to Clalla, Jefferson and Kitsap counties. We can help with anything from full home remodels to paining a single room. The company was first founded in Olean, New York in the 50s and came with the family to Washington in the 60s. It was passed down mostly as a standby to make ends meet whenever times were tough. I started the company again in 2017 and have been growing steadily. We provide excellent customer service full of integrity and clear communication. The projects I am targeting on Thumbtack are smaller jobs to be scheduled around larger projects.

Hired on Thumbtack

I used Micah to inspect a Lake House property on the Olympic Peninsula. I was unfamiliar with services in this area, so used Thumbtack to identify a provider. I have a career in commercial RE development, but residential is very different. I liked Micah's profile and description of what he cares about in a home. His comment about looking at a residence holistically drew my attention and I called him. Despite the fact that Micah lives in Seattle, he agreed to go the Olympic Peninsula with one days notice (over 2 1/2 hours away). Once I got the report, Micah spent time with me, walking through the report, helping me understand all of his comments. He has been patient, responsive and extremely thorough. I feel like I am completely aware of all shortcomings of the cabin, which will allow me to make more informed financial decision. Micah was great, so feel confident that you can hire him with confidence, knowing you will get great service and reporting.

Micah gave us fast, accurate and detailed service. He has many years of construction knowledge and was able to provide us with everything that was needed. We hired Micah before selling our home, as a precautionary measure that all would go smoothly with the sale. We would highly recommend Cascade Inspection.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My prices are based off of an estimate of hours to complete the project.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

This was a natural move for me. I have been working in home construction all my life. I have built full custom homes, remodels, worked as a glazier, and even taught carpentry for the Edmonds School District.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

There is too much diversity in the Seattle area to pick a favorite project. My favorite type of home to inspect, however, are very old homes. Old homes often tell a story about how people once lived. Old coal shoots leading to a basement or still functioning push-button light switches are among my favorite things to find.
