- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Organizing and cleaning are second nature to me, so when I considered starting my own business, friends and even prior employers suggested cleaning.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Spring and summer months bring many requests for home lawn care, especially mowing and weeding. I receive requests for 'Spring' cleaning from homeowners year 'round! The Fall/Winter months see an increase in general housekeeping , particularly around the holidays. Commercial clients have included property managers handling vacation rentals, warehouses needing organizing, and general cleaning and plant care at office settings.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
1. Ask for proof of liability insurance. Not only should they perform excellent work, they should be able to assume responsibilty in the unlikely event any property is damage or injuries are caused as a result of their work. 2. Check referrals from their prior customers!
