Danny played for our retirement party in Bellevue Wa. He was early and began playing right away. He was Outstanding! He took very few short breaks during his sets. He played a varity of music. He played all requests! I would recommendm highly. You wont be sorry. He was very friendly with everybody at the party. I have seen many jazz artist on the smooth jazz cruises over the past six years and Danny ranks right up there with the Best of the Jazz World. In fact he is good enough to be on the ship and open for Greats like Peter White or Dave Koz in my opinion! So Try him, you will be amazed. We took a chance on him and We will book him for our next event, and I hope you will too!

Danny literally made my dreams come true! Ever since I can remember, I dreamed of walking down the aisle to a solo sax playing "When I Fall In Love". Danny nailed the song and he went above and beyond our expectations. He played beautiful music as guests arrived, during the ceremony, at cocktail hour and through dinner. He played both accustic sax and with background music. My guests loved listening to him and it definitely added a touch of elegance to our garden wedding. I highly recommend Danny for all of your saxophone needs! He was a pleasure to work with from start to finish.

Danny has been our son's private saxophone teacher for the past few years and he is absolutely incredible. Not only does he have a musical talent will blow you away (we've heard him perform!!) but he is sooo good with kids. Those two qualities together can be really hard to find. He is sweet and patient with younger kids but also has a "coolness" factor that is appealing to my teenager. Logistically speaking (in terms of lessons), he is reliable, flexible, and reasonably priced. All in all, fabulous musician and incredible teacher. You can't go wrong here.

I’m currently stationed in Italy and only had a month to plan my wedding since the original plan was to have the ceremony in Puerto Rico. Due to hurricane Maria, we decided to cancel and move our wedding to my hometown in Tacoma. Danny was pleasant and easy going to talk to via email, but he wasn’t what I was expecting when i showed up for the reception.
The plan was:
1700-1800 Danny to play sax at the cocktail hour.
1800-2100 he and his band will play at the reception.....
2100-2300 Danny would pseudo-dj for the rest of the night. Meaning he would play songs we had sent him to keep the party going. All he needed to do was keep the party going with upbeat dance songs. (He verified he had done it before)
He played well during the cocktail hour. At least that’s what my family told me .....Then came the band at the reception....
1. Our entrance song was played AFTER everyone walked in; Parents of bride and groom, entourage and the bride and groom walked in with NO music. Once we all sat down, that’s when they played our entrance song. THE ENTRANCE Song.....During the planning stage, i was very specific as to what songs I wanted to play when. Four songs ( entrance, father-daughter, mother-son and first dance)....failed at the first one
2. After we walked in with no music, my husband and I walked towards the band to say a thank you speech, but Danny’s wife (the one with the mic) started backing up when we were going for the mic. She said congratulations shyly, started backing away and avoided eye contact.
3. During dinner, there was awkward silence inbetween songs because it looked like the band didn’t know how many songs to play and when to play them. It was during dinner while everyone was still eating...
4. His equipment, esp the mic cord, was restricting for speeches
5. He was not courteous during the speeches. Since the mic cord was short, my family was between the vendor table and the dance floor. He kept trying to talk to my wedding planning across the table while the speeches were being made. It was very distracting, rude and unprofessional. The least they could have done was to stand up and talked along side the wall, not close to the person making the speech
6. Traditionally, we have a money dance where guests pin money on sashes for the bride and groom then dance with them. It’s supposed to be a slow dance and not fast/party dance. This is when he played upbeat music. Horrible timing for the Kind of music he played.
After the band played, was his pseudo-dj, which he said he was comfortable doing and had done it before. All he had to do was let music play
7. I gave him a playlist of about 200 songs to play at the reception to give him an idea what would keep people dancing and entertained. He didn’t. He played a few songs 3 times and just sat in the corner letting it play. My brother, cousins and even the wedding planner had to beg him to let them plug their phones in so they can play their playlist but his “aux cord” was only for ipods. An aux cord ONLY for iPods?! We’re in 2017.....For my cousin, he didn’t even try to play off her phone, which made me (the bride) have to ask him to do something different because everyone was sitting around. I tried asking him to get on YouTube to play any other playlist than what he had and he said he had no internet. NO INTERNET?! There’s WiFi! It sounded like he wasn’t even trying. Trust me, people were TRYING to get up and dance but not with his songs he was playing. During this stage of trying to figure out the music, there was more awkward silence....
8. My brother had to basically kick him off his own equipment so he can play his IPhone.
I would say go for someone else to play at your event. It seemed like he wasn’t prepared, didn’t know what was going on and didn’t try to keep things going even though we had conversations before the receptions. The wedding planner had even talked to him on the phone before The event to make sure they were on the same page, but it didn’t seem like he was
