I'm Jason J Kim, a Snohomish based portrait photographer covering Seattle Metropolitan area. My passion in photography is to capture the precious moments of one's life in photos to cherish forever. I started photography as a hobby, which quickly turned into a passion. I love capturing images of nature, landscape as well as people. My shooting style is based on fine art photography with fashionably inspired, modern concepts and fun in mind. My source of inspiration is my subjects. This means I will pay a great attention to your needs or wishes in creating images you will be happy with. I believe the essence of portrait photography is to capture images that display the likeness, personality, and even mood of the person.

This is the second time we approached Jason for senior photos, the first time was with our elder daughter. As before, there was no pressure and everything revolved around the subject. Jason made our daughter feel at ease, allowing her to express her true self in the photographs. It was a great day at Gas Works Park and Jason captured the right lighting, background, and moments. Jason's very positive and cheerful personality made the photo session a delightful experience. Never doubted the trust we put in him for this important moment. Very highly recommended!

We have had two sets of senior pictures and family pictures done by Jason. His experience working with kids as well as adults puts everyone at ease. This combined with an expert understanding of light & framing results in beautiful portraits. Plus, Jasons energy is inspiring! And he takes care of sending images off to the school for the yearbook to make the process easy. The experience is so fun & chillit has inspired confidence in our seniors. What a great way to celebrate HS accomplishments! Thank you for a great experience with senior pictures again this year!

Jason photographed both our engagement photos and our wedding. Had wonderful suggestions for the location for the engagement photos, when I wasn't sure where I wanted them to be taken. During the wedding, Jason was so Charismatic throughout the event and captured everything. I'm so glad I can look back on so many happy memories.

photographer, enthusiastic and friendly. He knows what he is doing and is good at it. My daughter gets a bit shy when taking pictures, and it's normally tough to get her to smile and show off her beautiful smile, but Jason managed to bring that out in her. Jason is highly recommended and I will definitely be calling him again if I need a photographer for any of my events.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have different packages that will fit needs of many individuals or groups. I do offer discounts based on projects. Please ask.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I think communication is the key. I will be very prompt to come up with the shot list, which will be tailored to the client's specific needs. I use mainly email or thumbtack message but will be available by phone.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self-taught in photography and photoshop. I continue to update myself in training different techniques in photography, especially in lighting and photoshop.
