Introduction: Learning to play the guitar can be very difficult on your own. Youtube videos and books are great! Often, however, not all the pieces seem to connect and you are left struggling and unsure whether you are playing things correctly. My goal as a teacher is to provide you with the knowledge, hands-on assistance, and accountability to help you excel and to achieve your goals! I have over ten years of experience as a professional guitar player, songwriter, and music instructor. I have worked with every age demographic as well as students with various impairments. These include students who are legally blind, those suffering from MS, severe arthritis, and those on the autistic spectrum as well. I am passionate about helping others learn and look forward to helping you!

Guitar Lessons

Josh is very knowledgeable, patient, and responsive. I started with basically no knowledge of guitars and after three lessons feel like I have already learned a lot. Highly recommend!

Guitar Lessons (for adults)

Joshua has been extremely accommodating of my busy schedule. He has excellent knowledge of guitars and was very helpful in picking out my new guitar. His lessons are straight forward and he answers all my questions clearly and concisely. He goes at a nice pace and has been great to work with. I'd highly recommend him to other people looking to pick up the guitar.

I've been taking lessons with Josh for about 4 months now. He's the best music instructor I've had and he moves at a pace tailored to my skills. He believes in teaching guitar theory for a good foundation for beginners. He teaches students of ALL ages and I can see why he has a busy schedule. I look forward to more lessons with Josh.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I offer flat monthly rates starting at $100/month for half hour lessons and $200/month for full hour lessons. There are no hidden fees.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

At our first lesson, the student and I assess his or her current ability. Together we create personal goals and develop a roadmap to achieve those goals.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was privately tutored for five years with a college professor of classical and jazz guitar. I have a Degree in Audio Engineering and Music Production. Course materials included, piano, music theory, music composition, live sound, and studio recording. I have written and produced numerous singles, demos, and full length albums for musicians in the Spokane area.
