About
I come from a full family of professional classically trained musicians. I played as a soloist with an orchestra when I was 7 years old and won every youth competition in my area. Afterwards I studied at Juilliard and now my passion is in teaching and passing on the wealth of knowledge and experienced I've gained!

Very effective at communicating and identifying student needs, responds quickly. Lessons allow flexibility in what type of music the student would like to play, creating a fun and engaging learning experience. Glad to be seeing progress in my lessons, and i find Fedors’ assigned etudes to be useful in developing different skills for more fluid playing.
Details: 14 - 17 years old • No formal training; some self-taught experience • Yes, the student can read music • Classical • Yes, the student has a cello • 45 minutes • At the pro’s location • My home, venue, etc.

I was very thrilled to have worked with Fedor for a short period of 2 months- had to cut it short because of my job. I do have prior violin experience at an intermediate level at most and can already read sheet music, but decided to pick up my instrument after 3 years of not playing.
Our lessons were virtual and I was a tad bit nervous because it was my first time doing lessons online, but Fedor has a great set up and really knows his technology to screen share sheet music as well as instruct you to position yourself to the camera so he can correct your posture. I was surprised and thrilled at how he has such a good eye to correct even the littlest things about my posture and playing. I felt like I definitely improved after one lesson.
Pricing can be a tad bit expensive for those, but playing an instrument is not a cheap hobby to begin with. For example, I already had my own instrument and old books that we used in the lessons. I’d say prepare to spend a lot more $$ if you’re a brand new student. With Fedor’s expertise and experience in the field, I’d say his prices are very fair- you get what you pay for.
Due to my work I am sad that I am unable to have anymore lessons with him, but I would 100% recommend Fedor to anyone wanting to learn or touch up their violin skills.
Details: 18 - 25 years old • 2 - 4 yrs of formal training • Yes, the student can read music • Classical violin • Classical • What the teacher recommends • Yes, the student has a violin • 60 minutes • At the pro’s location

Fedor is an excellent diagnostician when it comes to the student's needs in terms of improving their technique, both bow and left hand. He is a well-rounded musician who can not only play very well, he can clearly explain and effectively demonstrate correct technique, teach music theory, and is genuinely devoted to helping the student improve.

Fedor did a fantastic job with my teenage son in just a few weeks of lessons. He is technically very strong and gives good advice to students, he has a clear understanding of each individual's strengths and areas of improvement. He is flexible and very supportive. My son who has had a few teachers before, loves working with Fedor.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Monthly tuition varies based on duration and regularity of lessons, which I offer much flexibility with both.

1hr - $110
45m - $85
30m - $60
Popular economic option: 30min lessons 3 times a month totaling at $180/month.
I highly recommend scheduling a free consultation to help determine which options are the best suited for when considering your goals and expectations.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually start with a free consultation session which gives me the opportunity to learn more about your goals and expectations, as well as for you to learn about what options exist, the advantages of each, and ultimately which I'd recommend in your situation.
Afterwards, I schedule a one-off trial lesson. If virtual is the only option possible, I usually schedule a free tour of my online studio first to give students a chance to experience my unique setup before committing to online lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I performed a concerto on stage as a soloist with an orchestra at just 7 years old. I grew up with a family where everyone is a professional classically trained musician. I won all youth competitions in my area growing up, then I stided at Juilliard in NYC. I've written method and etude books on technique and performing arts that I use in my studio.
