I guide the Columbia River for the prized Spring and Fall Chinook. You won't see me give up during a tough bite. I work extremely hard to get keep my clients on the fish. I am not afraid to share my secrets and best practices. I love to talk fishing! I use only the best equipment and bait. I have a top of the line boat, comfortable armchair seating, bathroom and blue tooth music on board. Come Join Me! Very professional and hard working, Joel combines a love of fishing and an intimate knowledge of his fisheries to offer a premier guided experience. Outfitted with the latest gear on his boat, he made sure my family and I not only stayed dry and comfortable during a torrential rain storm on the river, but that we didn't stop looking until we found fish.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Patience, not assuming they know what I am talking about. Show them and then teach them. Teach by example. Slow and deliberate. Calm temperament. Repetition is key. Smile and enjoy the day on the water.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Constantly watching fish counts, run reports, run projections, licensing changes, rule changes. Season closure updates. Networking with other guides and fisherman on where the fish are any given week and the best tactics for the time. Checking weather, wind and creel reports. Keeping track of the tides to best fish that day.
