I've taken riding lessons from Carol on and off for the past five years as I've had time and money and will definitely take more lessons in the future. Her horses are excellent, safe but not at all bored or barn sour. Her instructional method meets you where you are in terms of skills and interest; she challenges you to learn more each lesson while coming back to familiar skills to increase your confidence. Her barn is about enjoying horses and learning to ride, and not about competitive drama.
Lessons with Carol are one-on-one (no group lessons, which are mostly a waste of time) and she teaches you how to groom, tack up, and interact with the horses safely on the ground before you start to ride. You definitely get the entire hour, unlike some places that call a 45-minute lesson "an hour".
If you want to move up in dressage -- if you are not a total beginner -- Carol will help you do that as well, taking youth and adult amateurs to schooling shows every summer. I highly recommend Carol and Dressage Dancers as a great place to learn to ride.

I have been taking dressage lessons with Carol for 10 years and it has been an amazing journey. I have learned so much and have ridden a variety of different horses. Carol is very flexible and does what she can to work with my schedule. I have learned lots from her and the horses i take lessons on.
