- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First determine if I'm the appropriate magician for your venue. As much as I would like to take every opportunity presented, sometimes there are events that I just wouldn't perform well at, and you wouldn't be getting your money's worth. I want to be honest about this, so it's always good to make sure everything will work out well. Discuss logistics. What type of show would you like? Will a sound system be necessary? I'll need a room ahead of time to use to set up, so we'll need to confirm that. At this point, I'll send you my contract which covers pricing and billing. Sign it and send it in quickly; I don't put you on my schedule until the contract has been signed! I will of course be happy to answer questions throughout the process as well!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I think at some point, every kid has an interest in magic. Maybe they got a magic kit for their birthday, or perhaps they were amazed when someone pulled a coin from their ear. For me, I was given a book of simple tricks to "fool your friends," and the rest, as they say, is history. From there, it was only a matter of time before I began branching off into other aspects of magic until ecentually, I grew to love every little facet going into a show.
