- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Basically it's $65/person from hair and $65/person for make up regular makeup application. With brides, we have $125 and $150 packages which include the trial, false lashes, lipstick and the deluxe package includes MAC lipstick, blot powder and MAC airbrush makeup! I ask for a $125 hold the date deposit to make sure that the client is booking that date and going to go ahead with our services. This deposit is applied towards their total on date of services, and is refundable 60 days prior to the event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I attend MAC masterclasses every few months and also attend IMAT and The Makeup Show conventions to further my knowledge of the art and of the products out there. Recently, I have attended numerous training with celebrity makeup artists learning more about not only bridal beauty, but also trends in the industry! Who knew an allergy eye drop or milk of magnesia could make such a difference!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I enjoy make up and enjoy the transformations one can do with just a few brushes. Playing with make up has been a passion of mine since a child and I've only grown to enjoy it more as I see the glimmer in ones eyes when they see the results of their own features being brought to life! I used to model and learned a lot about makeup being on that side of the camera, however I would much rather be on this side of the camera!
