I am very particular! If there was no paint on your woodwork when I started your job, there will be not paint on the woodwork when I leave. All baseboards and door casings will be taped off and your floors protected. I will point out "previous" errors to you prior to starting your work. I do everything by hand for the most part, do the necessary prep work, and clean up after myself.
I enjoy turning a room from something outdated or "used" into a nice clean, fresh look. I am fully insured.

Tim did an excellent job painting our kitchen, livingroom, hall and bathroom. I could tell he took great pride in a job well done. He went above and beyond what I expected when hiring a painter. For example, he took the time to clean my light covers, so we didn't have the eye sore of a dirty light against the freshly painted ceiling. He also wanted to make sure we were completely happy with the job and had no problem doing a few touchups at the end after he had put everything away. We plan to hire him again in the future. Thanks Tim for a job well done!

Tim was amazing to work with! Professional yet personal with every encounter we had. He painted a lot (entry, kitchen, living room, sitting room, stair way and upstairs hallway) in only 3.5 days! He showed up on time every day and made sure he gave us a detailed update after each day. I work from home so he also made sure he gave me updates throughout the day and asked questions if he was unsure about something. He even brought my dogs treats every day. You won't regret working with Tim!

Tim did a great job with our rooms and wall. He had a fair price, was punctual and did a great job with the paint. We did find a few spots that needed some touch ups and he was great at coming back to accommodate our rather OCD requests.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is simple. I have done enough painting over the years to be able to tell how long each room will take me. No tape measures here. I take the time I estimate, what I need for labor, and multiply it out. Thumbtack makes giving estimates slightly more challenging. If you could let me know the room dimensions, and if you have ceilings higher than 8'. If the ceilings are to be painted, please let me know if they are vaulted or cathedral type. I like simple!!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to come out and take a look at the project. There seems to always be good and bad factors that can influence the bidding process. After I take a look, I take a few hours to think everything through and submit a bid.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started while I was in college to earn extra money. After graduating from college I went down to Texas and ran a painting business with my brother. I have pretty much just done side jobs over the years until I my "regular" job was eliminated at the end of 2013. I have always enjoyed painting and taking something that doesn't look too good and bringing life back into it.
