I initially contacted Takeyla late last night as I was searching for a new person to do my taxes. She contacted by 7am the next mourning less than 12 hrs after I reached out requesting more information. We set up a time to talk and get to know each other and so she could let me know what she does and how she does it!! While talking to her I felt a connection and understanding from her she seems like she truly cares and wants the best for her clients. She does more than just do your taxes she helps guide and teach you to be more aware and makes sure you fully understand what she did and why and teaches you how to understand better! We have also set up a meet for my husband to speak with her for later tonight so he can have his input as well and ask any questions or concerns he has! I love that she has the options to securely send the paperwork she needs right from the comfort of your own home or meet in person, being a mom of 5 free time isn’t something I have the luxury of having, so being able to do it on my time from home is amazing and we are just a phone call away if either of us has any questions or concerns and the fact that you pay once she is done is great!! Fingers crossed my husband loves her as much as I do so that we can start using her knowledge and service for years to come.

My experience with Tekeyla was a pristine experience from start to finish. She answered my request in 15 minutes and we had a 90 minute video conference call about my status. In that video call, she was very detailed and gave me specific advice about what I need to do to help my situation. The advice was not at all generic but tailored for me. She also created a excel spreadsheet with my specific accounts and pay off dates. I understand that every financial situation is different and every goal is not the same but right after I applied her changes, I started saving hundreds of dollars. You will have to put in the work! Tekeyla was very professional and straightforward with a great personality.

I am very thankful I found KMT Accounting. It's the best experience I ever had. Mrs Tyson is very patient and knowledgeable of tax laws. I was in a panic because the previous accountant that I paid, hadn't completed or filed taxes for previous years. Mrs. Tyson scheduled my appt for the next day and we completed all four years in one day.She didnt just complete my taxes but educated me during the process. She will forever be my accountant!!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process inclcudes an initial meeting to discuss needs, processes used in the past and goals for the future. There is a discussion in immediate needs and what that may look like. Last, a plan is made and services are agreed to. This meeting is free to the client.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 20 years of actual experience along with a MBA.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started as a bookkeeper for a pizza company I worked for. I then moved on to be an Accountant for a construction company. I love what I do, so I started my own company in January of 2016.
