Greg just completed spray painting my kitchen cabinets, frames, side panels and crown molding. I was originally concerned before the project started that I might have overspray to other adjacent surfaces during the painting process. My concerns, however, were alleviated when I observed how thorough Greg was with the taping and masking, and installing various barriers to eliminate the possibility of any overspray beyond the cabinet area. Greg was very meticulous in his preparation prior to the spray painting, i.e., filling hinge holes, sanding, caulking, covering the floor, ceiling, countertops and other adjacent surfaces as needed to protect them from the painting process. The cabinet openings were all masked off so that no paint could enter inside the boxes. All the woodwork to be painted was cleaned and de-glossed so the various coats of paint would bond properly. The cabinets were painted with one coat of primer and two coats of finish paint with sanding in between coats. Upon completion, there was no need to touch up any existing surfaces surrounding the cabinets. A couple small areas on the side panels needed a little additional sanding which Greg immediately took care of. I did not have any cabinet doors or drawers painted, since I was having brand new ones installed. I also removed all material from cabinets and drawers, removed all the cabinet doors and hinges and removed all drawer and shelf glides. The cabinets were completely empty to eliminate any interference with the taping and masking. I am very pleased with the finished product, both with the smoothness of the surfaces, and the overall like-new appearance. Throughout the process, Greg was always very punctual, respective of my property, courteous, and had a great attitude in making sure I was pleased with his work.
