I am Abby, the woman behind the lens of MonkeyBean! Starting this little business has been a dream of mine since I first picked up a camera in my sophomore year of high school, oh so many years ago!
Over the years, I have been able to shoot some amazing things, from artistic imagery to weddings, rock bands, and everything in between. I put down the camera professionally to focus on my family and career, but the dream was still there.
Capturing my monkey and bean kept the photo dream alive, and it was only fitting to start this for them, in honor of my monkey and bean.
So, what is MonkeyBean Photo's specialty? That's the best part. I love capturing all types of moments!

Abby was absolutely fantastic! Not only was she on-time, professional, etc., but she made our entire family feel comfortable throughout the shoot. And the photos look amazing! Our family loved working with her and will definitely be calling her again. We highly recommend Abby to anyone looking for an awesome photographer!

We hired Abby to help us with a multi-family shoot. We had a couple young kids in the mix and a couple of older adults as well - she was equally great with both. She was laid back, easy-going and so good-natured to work with. She chose the first location but was flexible when we wanted to try a second location as well and tried to get us as many good shots as possible as we chased the fading evening light. I can't say enough positive things about her and her work. We've only seen a few preview photos so far but they were exactly what we were looking for :)

Abby did our engagement photography session downtown Milwaukee in the Third Ward. She was very easy to work with, kept us energized the whole time, and made the experience very enjoyable! Abby had great locations in mind and did a great job making sure we got the photos we wanted!

Abby was fantastic with me and my screaming little man. I was impressed with her patience and calming demeanor. I loved that she had multiple backdrops, props and was willing to let me bring in items and asked what I wanted. I can't wait to go back in the future and have her capture life as it quickly changes.
