Hired on Thumbtack

We hired Kyara to come play music at our holiday party. I found her just a few days before the event, and wasn’t even sure I’d get a response (based on some past experience on Thumbtack…), but she got back to me right away. She communicated wonderfully, was super accommodating to our musical requests (which we changed up on her a couple times), she arrived early and got right to the piano. Her music was BEAUTIFUL! It provided the perfect ambiance for our party. We will 100% hire Kyara again!

I can not recommend Kyara highly enough!! Having a live musician for your wedding ceremony and cocktail hour truly makes the day feel magical and is so unique. Kyara's ability to adapt to any kind of music preference or song requests is incredibly impressive, and makes the experience that much more intimate. She is so professional, kind, easy to work with, and amazingly well prepared. She brings her own equipment, rehearses everything so artfully, offers a huge selection of music, and makes any occasion feel so much more memorable. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took formal piano lessons throughout childhood and have been playing for my church and the local community theatre for the last 10 years.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
The first wedding I played was for my cousin’s wedding when I was in college. After that, I played two different friends’ weddings and decided to advertise outside of my immediate circle during the pandemic.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently played a wedding at a winery that featured an all-Broadway cocktail hour which was a lot of fun to put together.
