1 star I can't say as I would recommend this company. We were quoted a price on clearing tress and brush with a "pay as you can" stipulation from the owner. We gave the company a down payment of $1000 to commence work. After a small amount of work, the company disappeared. We paid another $1500 in hopes that they would continue/finish the work agreed upon. Wishful thinking on our part I guess. Being the nice folks we are, we asked for the last payment back, seeing as nothing has been done. What was done was nothing more than a mess. A few trees were cut down, the remnants thrown in a pile and left. logs were scattered about the lawn; I have had to stack them myself. The owner, Chris is his name, refused any of this. He prefers keeping what we have paid him and not doing any work. Correct me if I am wrong, but if a company agrees to perform a service for a set price following predetermined guidelines, shouldn't they fulfill said contract or refund the customer's money? I am a disabled Veteran and I do not have the resources or ability to throw money at someone only to have them screw me over like this. My offer still stands, I would like my last payment of $1500 refunded to me. Keep the initial $1000, despite the fact that I will have to hire someone else to clean up the horrible mess you left (including cleaning up any oil that soaked into the ground during your attempt to burn one of the piles). As a representative of Jefferson Landscape, I feel it necessary to clear up the details and facts related to this work. Please note that the contract was bid for $4000. We commenced tree removal with 4 guys and all of our equipment 5 times, well exceeding $2500 in work. We were put at a stand still due to lack of funds and some personal issues with this client. Our intent is/was to complete this job when we would be made aware that the remaining funds would be available. It is also important to note that the last communication was a request for a refund for work already completed; and it was (again) communicated we would be happy to finish this fall or when the funds were proven to be available. Considering our serious delay in the second installment of $1500 (over 45 days), anyone could see the hesitation to move forward without receiving the remaining funds. We are a reputable organization, and will not tolerate slanderous statements made that can deter customers from choosing our services. We take loss of business very seriously. Please keep to the facts when posting please.

My yard was really bad, very long and full of weeds but he was able to trim it all down nicely. He was polite and worked fast and efficiently. I am pleased with how it turned out and if the need arises I would use him again in the future.
