FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask my clients how they would normally do their makeup on a daily basis. I ask them if they have dry, oily, or combination skin. I also will go into eye color, skin tones, and facial features and let them know what color works best for their skin.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Cosmetology at The Salon Professional Academy in Appleton, WI. I worked for Benefit Cosmetics right after beauty school. During this time, I received hands on training with many different makeup lines. I now work at a spa where I received multiple hands on training in every day makeup looks, to bridal airbrush makeup.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started doing this by becoming a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. I traveled to homes where I helped women pick out the correct skin care and makeup choices. I was also their to help them apply the makeup and answer any questions. It was a few years later that I went into Cosmetology.
