We had 6 weeks to plan our wedding 80 miles from where we live, and we chose Wholesome Photography through Thumbtack. Liza was everything we wanted in a wedding photographer for our intimate and relatively brief mid-day ceremony and luncheon. She asked for a list of shots we wanted and those that were a must, which helped use the time available most efficiently. She called any issues (e.g., cake was not on display for her to photograph) to my attention without disturbing me or the guests. She alerted me when her time (3 hours) was about to expire, so we could get the last of the shots in that time. I would rate her excellent on professionalism, responsiveness, value and punctuality. I have not seen the pictures yet, so I will update this review when I receive them, which should take about 2 weeks, a very reasonable time. Update 11/14/23: We received the pictures timely, and I've now looked at them closely and shared them with friends and family. The pictures themselves are lovely, and Liza captured the shots we wanted. We've had many compliments on how lovely the pictures are; and when I browsed through all 207, it felt as if I were reliving the day. We chose to have the photos delivered on a jump drive. The jpg's are large and can sometimes be a bit unwieldy, but they are also detailed and can be enlarged without becoming distorted. Unfortunately, the max size of photos uploaded here is 10 mb, so I am unable to share any with this review.

Graduate of college with Bachelor Fine Arts with a focus in digital cinema.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a passion for photography and animals. When I moved to the UP I got a DSLR camera to start taking nature photography and I also came to own my first dog during that time as well. I also ended up going to school for art and design where I studied photography and videography.

I've worked with people who are laid back and go with the flow kind of people and also those who are more structured and know exactly what they want.
