March 2026 Update:Another great experience with Midwest. We had an igniter go out on my tankless water heater and not only did I have a technician out within 2 hours, but all work was finished in about the same amount of time. This time I had Ken K., and he was courteous and professional. I'm really impressed with the quality of people that Midwest employs. Anyhow, everything was taken care of in a timely manner and I now have heat in my home again.Original Review:During the stretch of sub-zero weather in February I went to my basement to start a load of laundry only to discover my hot water heater was spewing out water onto the floor from the emergency release valve. I'd known for a while that it was probably time to replace it, but being the miser I am, I gambled on exactly when I should do it - and lost!So there I was with a failed water heater, the temperatures outside below zero and dropping, and a snowstorm just starting outside.I pulled out my phone and searched for a list of HVAC repair companies in my area. The reviews for Midwest Heating & Cooling seemed good so I took a chance. A few hours later my repair tech showed showed up.He was kind, personable, and didn't even make fun of me when, in my stress on the phone, I referred to the hot water heater as my furnace, which is what he thought he was there to fix.He immediately diagnosed the problem (the old water heater was shot) and within minutes had everything shut off and scheduled an appointment for a replacement in two days. Luckily I had been researching new water heater costs a few months before, so I knew the prices they were giving me seemed reasonable.The new install happened a few days later and everything was done quickly & efficiently. They even did a great job cleaning up after themselves.I'm very pleased with Midwest Heating & Cooling, will definitely use them in the future and recommend them to others.**09/13/21 Update**To avoid another dicey winter situation this year, I called on Midwest to come and do a tune-up on the tankless water heater that powers my radiators. Nick was my service tech this time. Again, incredibly professional and personable. Got the job done quickly and efficiently. Now that three separate service team members have been to my house, and all have done exceptional work while being kind and courteous, it makes me realize that this is no coincidence: Midwest hires terrific people. Thanks again, guys!

July 24I was a bit bothered that we had to wait until the next day (today), but it was well worth the wait!! Mac & Noah were very professional. So kind and friendly. Max went above And beyond his scope of service, just to be kind. In this day And age it is very nice to see that quality in a person, persons. Noah was also very friendly and helpful. It was like dealing with old friends. Thank you for such outstanding service!August 5thRigo installed all the equipment just fine, but I am concerned it is taking so long to cool the house down. At 5:15 today the system was turned on and set to 67 degrees, it is now 8:15 and the temp in the house is only 77, it started at 79. Please have someone contact me tomorrow.February 19th - Service tech came out to repair issue with condensate pump and perform a PM. He was very thorough, polite, and explained all what he did. I am very satisfied with the service I received.
