Bob inspected a home for us this month. I was very disappointed in the inspection. His inspection report contradicted what he told us verbally during the inspection. He could not find the CO detectors even though they were built in with the smoke detectors. He was unsure if the electrical was 100 amp or 200 amp. When I asked him to resolve our dissatisfaction he wrote a long email saying that he did the minimum state requirements and ended with: "I'm sorry you were dissatisfied with the job that I did but I look at it like this. I get one complaint out of 7000 like this one, I don't think I am the one with the problem." and also with "I would have gladly walked away after reading this BS.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask: How many inspections have you done? Are you full time or part time? What associations do you belong to? Am I allowed to follow you around and ask questions? When do I get the report? Do you have E&O insurance?
