Introduction: I've been teaching piano for 13 years, primarily to beginning and intermediate students. I work to provide my students with a good foundation in music reading skills, artistry, and music theory. Lessons cover a variety of styles over time; theory instruction is also included. I have training in using good technique to prevent repetitive stress injuries. Another goal is to challenge students just enough at each lesson to offer motivation and the reward of succeeding. I offer lessons in my home studio or I can travel to your home. I have begun teaching lessons online as well via Zoom.

Ms. Connie is a wonderful piano teacher! She is very patient, especially with beginner students, and allows children to learn at their own pace. She is very knowledegable in technique, theory, and music eduction. She shares her love of music with her students and makes lessons relaxing and fun!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Fees are expected monthly the first lesson of the month. Missed lessons due to illness can be made up on an alternate date.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Upon hearing from an interested customer, I provide information about what lessons include, what type of instrument and materials a student will need, the time commitment involved, and other pertinent information. If we agree to pursue the lessons together, based on good fit, times available, etc., we can arrange for a free trial lesson--approximately 20 minutes in length.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in (math) education, and have taken multiple courses in Piano Pedagogy and Literature. In addition to 12 years experience providing private piano lessons, I have experience in teaching and tutoring various school subjects as well.
