Introduction: Many students claim to hate math and science. They don't really hate the subjects, they hate being frustrated and confused by them. The best way to reverse this feeling and build self-esteem and a positive attitude is to determine the correct learning starting point. By starting with simple, easily accessible applications, we allow the student to have successful experiences that will make them less resistant to future lessons. We've shown that people are more receptive to learning once their confidence level is high, and when information is presented in a way they can understand. Before we even open a book or develop a learning approach, we first open the lines of communication with the student, identify areas of difficulty and determine how the student can best process information. From our unique Student Learning Profile system, we create a tutoring strategy and program specifically designed for each student. We further open the lines of communication with parents and teachers, creating a 360-degree support network for the student. Our goal is not only to make sure a student succeeds in their course work but also to create and reinforce their self-confidence and self-esteem towards a successful future. What I love most about tutoring students is seeing them become empowered by their intelligence and self-confidence in their abilities.To see them truly believe they are capable of doing anything they desire. I base my innovative learning system on overcoming my own confidence barriers that prevented me from achieving academic success as a youth. My ability to personally understand the potential feelings of frustration, anger and hopelessness allows me to relate to my students and give them the hope and tools to follow their dreams. This has led to the founding of Annunziato Learning Systems, providing robust approaches that can help students learn.
