Our staff consists of Chefs from the top restaurants in the Madison Area and we offer top notch service, food and attention to detail. Ethan and the team at Mad City Chefs far exceeded my expectations, and my expectations were high! The creativity and quality of the food, the presentation of the food and the service (pre, post and during) were fantastic. Our party was about 65 people following our daughter's graduation from UW Madison (May 2016). We are from Los Angeles so we had never hosted a party in Madison and didn't have any experience with caterers in the area. After a bit of research, we selected Mad City Chefs, but it was a 'cross our fingers' and hope for the best sort of guess. We ended up with more compliments on this party than we have ever had before, and we've used many caterers in the Los Angeles area over the years. Everyone had a great time and the food was the star of the show.

Ethan did an incredible job with my daughter's graduation party! He listened when I described what I wanted and helped me achieve it, within budget. The set-up/display was beautiful and the FOOD, well the food was sooo good! People raved that night, and they are STILL raving and asking me how I found you. Thanks for helping me create a night to remember!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our Pricing is dependent on style of service, number of people and selections of food. We would be happy to customize a menu to accommodate your budget.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once our customer reaches out to us we will set-up a free consultation and speak with you over the phone or travel to your location. During the consultation we try to see if Mad City Chefs is a good fit for your event. We are willing to work with any number guests, custom menu designs and ideas.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Executive Chef/Owner Ethan has been in the food industry for 18 years. Ethan has a background in Exercise Physiology & Strength and Conditioning. His passion for the culinary world, world travel and an active lifestyle lead to the creation of Mad City Chefs and the eclectic menu we offer. Some of our Chefs work in the top restaurants in Madison by day and with Mad City Chefs as contractors for each event. We have a very talented staff from all walks of life and would love to make your event a special one!
