- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I joined the Army straight out of High School to help pay for college and after completing 4 of my first 30 years in the Army, I graduated in 1993 from the UW Madison with a bachelor's degree in Construction Management. I felt I wanted to work for myself, so after putting myself through school while learning the wood flooring trade, I thought why not!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
New home installation and full home remodeling. Carpet/vinyl removal, baseboard/shoe install, sanding and finishing.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Experience and quality costs. If an estimate comes in low be careful, you may be getting an inexperienced flooring contractor and the quality may suffer?
