FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing we need to do is set goals and learn about your exercise, nutrition, and health history. I like to learn your likes and dislikes too, I want to make your plan as fun and effective as I can!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied health and fitness at Globe University and I became a certified personal trainer with the American Council on Exercise. I did in-home training between 2009 and now. I started working in a gym in 2012, and now I am also doing online training and nutrition coaching. I recently got a Level 1 certification with Precision Nutrition. I also am certified to teach Zumba, Zumba Gold, R.I.P.P.E.D., TurboKick, PiYo, and Silver Sneakers. I have a membership with PT on the net and Idea Fitness for continuing education. I have run bootcamps and weight loss challenges for groups as well as working with individuals. There are so many fun ways to help people reach their goals, I will never stop learning!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was the kid who ran away from the ball in gym class. I did like to dance, but other than that I was not that active. As an adult, that made me gain weight and one day I had enough. I got a gym membership and started working out. I reached my goals, and then I got in a car accident that left me unable to work, much less exercise, for a year. I used my recovery time to go to school for health and fitness.
