FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common job I do for clients is to help them explore horseback riding before they invest a lot of money into the sport. Parents often come to me and say well my son/daughter is horse crazy, but I want to see if they are really ready for their own horse. So I give them a few lessons teach them all about the responsibilities of owning their own horse, in the end some kids are still really horse crazy and some reside its jut not for them. Horse lessons are the perfect way to see if a love for horses goes past the pretty pictures in the book the kids see. Try it out and see for your self.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
First thing dont rush into anything, find a riding instructor that fits your needs, if you are a more hands on learner, if you have specific goals in mind (jumping, showing, therapy), and if you have beget. If you are looking for someone to take riding lessons from! Always ask the possible riding instructor questions. If they cannot answer most if not all of these questions to your satisfaction, find someone else to take lessons from. Dont be afraid to ask questions, there are no dumb questions. Possible questions to ask! Do you have lesson horses? Can I take lessons on my own horse? What disciplines do you teach? Do I have to have any special equipment? Do you travel, or do I come to your facility? How long have you been giving lessons? Are you a member of any equestrian organizations? Do you have an indoor arena, outdoor arena? Where do you teach lessons (on trails, indoor, outdoor, round pen, in the open) What would you teach me in the first few lessons? What age groups do you teach? What level do you teach (beginner, intermediate, advanced) Do you give private, semi- private, or group lessons? How much do those lessons cost? Do you yourself take lessons? What is a good age to start lessons? Do you have experience with kids/people who have special needs? Can I come observe a lesson or two before taking a lesson with you?
