Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I have been told that I can get onto the level of my students. I can be as silly and goofy as a little kids needs/wants me to be, to help them feel comfortable and have a positive learning environment, but I also can be as professional as an adult would like. I have always been striate forward with my clients, if I feel I cannot teach you or help you achieve your goals; I will help you find someone who can. I have meet a lot of great trainers and instructors around my area, and if I feel one of them would be a better suit for you and your horses needs I will strongly encourage you to contact one of them. I love to teach new things to clients and students. The look on their faces when they have reached one of their goals makes me feel as if I have done my job. Sometimes things come easy to a horse and rider and other times they may have to work on a skill for a bit, but in the end when they finely complete the skill it is the best feeling for all who are involved. I love horses and working with horses and I love teaching, in this job I get to do both, work with horses and teach.

Heather was very pleasant to work with. She is very professional with lots of energy. I was very impressed with her experience and knowledge of the industry. She shows lots of patience and worked very well with my daughter.
Private Horseback Riding Lessons

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The most common job I do for clients is to help them explore horseback riding before they invest a lot of money into the sport. Parents often come to me and say well my son/daughter is horse crazy, but I want to see if they are really ready for their own horse. So I give them a few lessons teach them all about the responsibilities of owning their own horse, in the end some kids are still really horse crazy and some reside its jut not for them. Horse lessons are the perfect way to see if a love for horses goes past the pretty pictures in the book the kids see. Try it out and see for your self.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

First thing don’t rush into anything, find a riding instructor that fits your needs, if you are a more hands on learner, if you have specific goals in mind (jumping, showing, therapy), and if you have beget. If you are looking for someone to take riding lessons from! Always ask the possible riding instructor questions. If they cannot answer most if not all of these questions to your satisfaction, find someone else to take lessons from. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, there are no dumb questions. Possible questions to ask! Do you have lesson horses? Can I take lessons on my own horse? What disciplines do you teach? Do I have to have any special equipment? Do you travel, or do I come to your facility? How long have you been giving lessons? Are you a member of any equestrian organizations? Do you have an indoor arena, outdoor arena? Where do you teach lessons (on trails, indoor, outdoor, round pen, in the open) What would you teach me in the first few lessons? What age groups do you teach? What level do you teach (beginner, intermediate, advanced) Do you give private, semi- private, or group lessons? How much do those lessons cost? Do you yourself take lessons? What is a good age to start lessons? Do you have experience with kids/people who have special needs? Can I come observe a lesson or two before taking a lesson with you?
