FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a Life of the Dog Guarantee. This means I do not charge by the hour or by the session. You will pay one fee, and you will never pay for a follow up visit for the rest of your dog's life. I stand behind the training. Once your initial training is completed, if you ever need me to come back for a tune-up or another issue, there is no additional charge.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start out talking about what you want to accomplish with your dog, such as what are your goals. We also discuss what has happened up to this point to possibly cause some of the issues (was the dog attacked by another dog and that may have caused some dog aggression) and what other type of training have you already done. Then we discuss this new type of training and how we will use it to train your dog. That takes about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to get through and then we start working with your dog with these techniques and you can see how quickly your dog's behavior can change. We set up a follow up visit about two weeks following the first visit and we go from there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I originally purchased a dog behavior and training franchise 21 years ago and received aboout a month of training to start, and an annual conference which included additional training. I was with that franchise for 15 years. I am also a certified veterinary technician, which has also helped me in my work.
