FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for our services are calculated by the square footage of your home and your specific pest issue. It is not a one size fits all approach. We develop a special program to deal with your issues and keep your home and family protected all year long. JC Ehrlich was founded in 1928 in Reading, Pennsylvania by Julius C. Ehrlich. Mr. Ehrlich was a salesman who sold insecticides and fogging equipment. At this time, pest control was very much a do-it-yourself venture. When one of his customers, a department store, had no one who could apply the materials, Mr. Ehrlich offered to do it for them – a novel idea at that time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When you contact Ehrlich, you will be connected directly with one of our highly-trained residential specialists. • We take a consultative approach, working in partnership with you to make the best service recommendations for your home and family. • Once you decide to move forward with an agreed upon treatment plan, a licensed technician will be assigned to your account and scheduled to work with you to eliminate your pest control concern, normally within 24 to 48 hours. • Follow-up services will be conducted as needed in accordance with your agreement.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ehrlich Pest Control has professionally qualified entomologists working across the country. They support the work of our Pest Control Technicians and Operations Managers, especially in unique or challenging cases. Degreed professionals, Ehrlich entomologists are true Integrated Pest Management (IPM) specialists. They conduct thorough inspections to get to the root cause of pest problems, and make recommendations to deal with the situation. Ehrlich entomologists are particularly valued by our food processing and pharmaceutical production customers, providing a level of protection and reassurance in these sensitive environments. These same entomologists have developed hands on technical training for our field technician team, designed similar to a university course of study. Every one of our technicians is required to go through this training before beginning work in the field. New courses are added to the University on a regular basis, ensuring that all of our licensed technicians are educated on the latest and greatest service protocols to handle the ever-changing pest control environment.
