Hello, my name is Miho. I am originally from Kyoto, Japan, and relocated to the United States in 2007. Since then, I have been teaching Japanese to a diverse range of students, from young children to senior executives. Over the years, I have developed a teaching style that is highly personalized, adapting lessons to each student’s goals, learning style, and pace. I currently offer online lessons exclusively, drawing from my experience teaching both in-person and virtually. Miho is a great teacher! She immediately welcomed me warmly after I expressed my nervousness. I've been studying Japanese for awhile, but don't have many people to talk to. So, I wanted to have specialized conversation help with a focus on grammar. We were able to chat freely because she catered the lesson to my interests, too. A+++ sensei :)

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The first lesson is offered at a $5 discount as an introductory rate. I also provide 10-lesson packages at a further discounted price for students who wish to commit to ongoing learning.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a discounted first lesson to determine if we are a good fit. During this session, I will ask questions about your goals, interests, and learning preferences to design a lesson plan tailored specifically to your needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While I do not hold an official teaching certification, I have extensive experience working with students of all ages and backgrounds. This practical, hands-on experience enables me to effectively address each learner’s needs and adapt my teaching to help them achieve their goals.
