Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My strength lies in teaching owners to break difficult/challenging behaviors into little steps so the dog/owner team can have early successes and build on them. I'm patient, persistent and keep my sense of humor. I'm good at helping owners understand new information and resourceful at finding practical ways to solve problems. If I don't have the answer I'll find someone who does and share what I've learned with my clients. Years of experience in teaching, working in vet hospitals, competing with my own dogs and horses, and learning from some of the best have given me a wide and solid base of experience on which to draw.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

A reputable trainer should be able to explain their methodology and why they choose it. They should be up to date with the latest science of canine behavior.Good trainers are patient, compassionate, honest about their limitations and willing to listen to the wants of their customers. Be wary of any trainer who guarantees they can solve all your problems all of the time or claims they can fix any problem within a certain number of days or weeks - these individuals often resort to using fear and pain to shut your dog down so that the dog appears to be perfectly mannered but in truth is afraid to express normal behaviors.
