Dan initially came out to troubleshoot/repair some issues with the sound in our multimedia system. He identified and corrected the problem in no time (--the high-end AV guys who installed the system were unable to identify the source of the problem after a visit to my house and multiple emails). That same day, Dan helped solve a problem with Word Perfect (--an old program that I need to maintain because it has some documents I still reference). The program had crashed during a power outage, but Dan rectified the problem, and Word Perfect was up and running in no time. While he was at my house, Dan commented on how slow my internet speed was. I decided to switch from AT&T (basic internet slow speed) to Time Warner High Speed (300 mbs). After Time Warner had been here 4 times unsuccessfully trying to install the internet, I called Dan to check it out. He pointed out that the way Time Warner was setting up the system was incredibly inefficient and would not produce the best results. He drew up a plan for a better installation. When Time Warner returned for the fifth time, they followed Dan's plan, and my internet was great throughout most of the house. He was even willing to get on the phone with the TW technician while he was here to provide further advice. Dan then advised how we could spread the wifi to bring greater speed to other areas of the house. He also simplified all the internet/wifi in the house (a somewhat complicated concept as our house is 2 stories/6,000 sq.'). His advice is promptly and thoughtfully rendered, and the results are excellent. I am somewhat technologically challenged, but Dan makes it easy to make your life easier and more efficient with his technological knowledge and skill.

Dan knows his stuff, seriously. I had him set my sound system twice. Before Sonos and after Sonos...a very complex set up, it included:
- DirecTV 4k
- BluRay
- Amazon Fire
- TV
- Sonos surround sound
- Univeral remote (Harmony)
He took the time to make it all work; even after the fact I could call him and he'd troubleshoot the issue.
Now I will say you get what you pay for so he's not cheap. In fact, in my pre-Sonos system, I had the Geek squad and Home Tech try to configure the DirecTV 4k and they couldn't do it...after calling Dan it all worked like a charm...You spend a lot of money on your entertainment and you want it all to work as it should and nowadays it takes a true expert. Dan is your man!!

DRSmartHome installed many devices that enables me to control my home and security with my iPhone.
The Ring secures my front door.
The Nest controls my heating and a/c saving me lots of money.
My garage door is also opened and closed on line.
My TV and audio system, wifi and computer systems were all managed by DRSmartHome. I have great speed and trouble free operation.
Overall, the company has provided excellent service, always been available for updates and suggestions for improvement.
Can't praise them enough!
