Molding or baseboards,
Sam was fantastic! He was prompt and responsive when we were communicating about the time frame and price to install a new mailbox. He arrived promptly at our scheduled time, which was actually on a Sunday afternoon. The mailbox was installed and looks great. He even hauled away the cardboard packaging, without me even asking. After speaking to him in person, I discovered that he can do many different types of home projects. We will use him again in the future. I highly recommend him.Apr 23, 2018VerifiedEvans Construction & Handyman Service's reply

Fence and Gate Installation
My husband and I hired Sam to install a fence in our backyard last fall. We were originally very happy with the work Sam did. However, this spring our fence began to fall over because some of the posts weren’t cemented deep enough into the ground. We are very understanding that something like this could happen given the climate in Ohio so we simply asked Sam to come fix the fence which he agreed to. It has since been over a month of him scheduling a time to come out and fix the fence and then cancelling for new jobs he has. He has rescheduled at least 5 times on us and and most times didn’t show up without any notice given to us. We have made a point of being home every time he has done this to us and it’s been extremely inconvenient. He has also not given us a reason for why he hasn’t been showing up to these appointments other than being busy with “new work”. In our opinion, a good business owner would take pride in previous work he’s done and make it a priority to fix something that wasn’t done properly. The fence has only been up for a few months and multiple sides are falling down now (hard to tell in the pictures, but it’s to the point our neighbors have complained). Would consider changing this review if Sam would make a point of keeping a timely appointment with us but at this point we will likely have to pay someone else to fix his work. Very inconsiderate.Apr 15, 2019VerifiedEvans Construction & Handyman Service's reply
Sorry that you feel this way, but this is not accurate, one month ago you reached out and I told you it would be a few weeks due to the weather being very poor and I was busy at the time, I have only changed the appointment once which was this past weekend when I got rained out Friday and then again on Sunday, so before you leave a review on my reputation how about reaching out to me and setting another date, I was always prompt in communicating with you. On top of it you make it seem like the job was poor when in fact it's just a few leaning areas that will be easily fixed.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing is job dependent, I like to come give free in person estimates so I can fully understand the scope of work and give you the best price possible to complete the job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Typically I will reach out to possible new clients and touch base about the work they are working to have done. Then I will set up a time to do a free estimate, measurements, or inspection. Following that step I will give the client some time to review my estimates/notes and give them a chance to ask me any questions or concerns they have.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have worked multiple trades as well as having multiple family members in the business that I have learned skills of the trade through.
