FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Ok...here are the things to think about when you are looking to hire a DJ. It may seem to you like you are only hiring someone for a couple of hours, 3...maybe 4. However, unloading & setting up a sound system...especially when there is a complicated lighting system involved. We typically arrive 3 hours or so before your event to set up, get all of the lights & sound running...and then we will be there for 1.5 hours or so after your event is over to tear down, pack up, & load everything back up. Now...the one area where I am different from every other DJ is that you will know how much you are paying going into your event. I will discuss what you are wanting with you prior to your event & give you one set price. It won't make any difference how long you want to stay & party...you are covered! I do require a non-refundable deposit equalling 1/2 of your agreed upon total to save your event date...but there is a contract that explains everything in more detail. The contract is there to protect both parties that are involved. I can email or message it to you, then if you have any questions at all, I will do my very best to answer anything that I can.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typical process...I do a lot of talking with new clients. It takes time to find out what new customers needs are. As a DJ, every single job is different & I will never come across two clients that are the same. I will say that it is always more fun to work with people who are super laid back. Events are always more fun when they can be enjoyed for what they are. Besides talking to get to know someone, there is time to plan the event with the client & discuss how every aspect of coming in, setting up, playing, tearing down, & packing up will work. Then beyond all of that it is just continued communication leading up to the event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As I said before, I was in choir from junior high through college. The majority of my electronics knowledge comes from being a curious kid who tore things apart to see just how they worked & put them back together again. That took me from one step to the next until I reached where I am today.
