Absolutely loved MagnifiqueHomes! I moved to Virginia and needed to downsize quite a bit, moving into a much smaller place. Maud was great at utilizing the small space I had to maximum efficiency, making it feel like a home at the same time. She kept me involved in every step -- making it a truly enjoyable experience. I couldn't be happier with this, my first interior design experience. I would definitely recommend MagnifiqueHomes without hesitation.Feb 4, 2018
Just wonderful - my very first time using an online decorator & she hit it out of the park. Already purchased most of her recommended items since I LOVE the design!! Thank you!!Nov 26, 2018Verified
We are thrilled with our home makeover! Maud and her team were generous with their time, fun to work with, and always seemed invested in the success of our project. We’ve never had more compliments from visitors, plus Maud made sure that we feel cozy and comfortable in our space. We feel like our investment in design services was very well spent. We will definitely hire Magnifique Homes for our next house project!Jun 28, 2018Verified
Introduction and Design Phase: I hired Maud to design a small space, an 11x13 room for a home office that would contain two desks, several shelves and a dresser for storage. The initial meeting and subsequent design sessions went well. I chose the design I liked and paid the balance outstanding balance to get the materials released so I can order them through Houzz. Ordering Materials: Maud choose everything that fit the budget I had expressed so ordering went smoothly until the pieces of furniture arrived. Since most furniture these days come in so many boxes, I decided to save the nearly $1000 quote I got from other install vendors and decided to install everything myself -- which in this area with work, family and kids means after hours and weekends. I noticed near the end that I ordered too many shelves and I was missing one library hutch. I spoke with Maud and she quickly determined the error in ordering (if I recall it was her "intern" who fat-fingered the measurements) and talked with Houzz to get things resolved. I did have to call the manufacturer though to get a replacement piece since the shipping package was damaged and Houzz was slow in getting back to me but that has nothing to do with Maud. So I got everything installed after a few hiccups. Staging Phase: So my contract with Maud included the "staging phase" which was just another word for the designer putting together the room at the end with my books, picture frames, plants and everything else in a way a designer would. Well my friend, this phase actually NEVER happened. So after rescheduling twice, a final date was chosen and Maud never showed up. After calling her I found out she had a family emergency and when I inquired when we could reschedule she informed me that was not possible and I would get a $50 refund for my hassle. I don't know about you, but I paid $600 to have a professional design my office, I would install everything and the designer would finish it off so to get back $50 was really insulting. In ending her design met my needs but she didn't finish the project and definitely didn't finish strong. I don't know if the projected profit was lost due to her company's error in documenting my measurements or something else but this is totally unexpectable. This was my first time hiring a designer and my advice for others is to pay in several phases and to pay the remaining part after the install or decoration phase otherwise you be cheated out of several hours of doing it yourself but offered $50...maybe this will cover the lattes I will need to finish off the room :).Jan 3, 2019Verified
My team and I recently partnered with Magnifique Homes to stage a real estate listing in Alexandria, VA. We had to work within a tight timeframe and Maud went above and beyond to ensure the home was staged and market ready on time. She's communicative, very knowledgable of current design & real estate trends, and a pleasure to work with!Mar 21, 2018
